Relief kits were delivered to Sneharam, a Social Action Centre run by Jesuit Fr. Benny. The recipients were offered these kits in the presence of Fr. Benny and Fr. Sunny. The second phase of supplying relief will be coordinated by the school, with the support of both LOBA and the PTA.
LOBA’s relief activities at Anjengo comes with the realization that there are many more who need our support. We’re planning for more such undertakings in the near future.

Shields for Humanity, a campaign designed by the Trivandrum based NGO, 360 Degree, focuses on giving masks and essential protective gear that keeps one safe during the pandemic. Shri. K S Sabarinathan, MLA of Aruvikkara constituency distributed 500 N95 masks, in association with this campaign, to 250 families in Maruthikonam, Mailottumozhi, and Matha Nagar regions. As these areas are containment zones, the timely distribution of these masks turned out to be a blessing.

The COVID-19 pandemic that is ravaging the coastal populace of the state is taking an economic toll on the fisherfolk, with the lockdown and restrictions on fishing. To mitigate their suffering, the Jesuits under the provincial’s guidance and the supervision of the rector Fr Sunny, have reached out to the Jesuit alumni for contributions. They have arranged for the delivery of kits of essential items worth INR800 each.

The 34th International WAC Jury Award was received by Srijit Srinivas - Architects for the Benziger Hospice Home. The Malabar Province of the Order of Discalced Carmelite (OCD) – affiliated to the Catholic Church, commissioned the ‘Benziger Hospice Home’ project in the South Indian city of Trivandrum with the vision of providing free accommodation for cancer patients visiting local hospitals.

Kerala State government is planning to set up Corona Care Centers (CCC) across the state in anticipation of community spread (Stage 3) of the novel coronavirus pandemic. LOBA, among others, is tasked with setting up a CCC when such a situation is called upon.
