The COVID-19 pandemic that is ravaging the coastal populace of the state is taking an economic toll on the fisherfolk, with the lockdown and restrictions on fishing. To mitigate their suffering, the Jesuits under the provincial’s guidance and the supervision of the rector Fr Sunny, have reached out to the Jesuit alumni for contributions. They have arranged for the delivery of kits of essential items worth INR800 each.
LOBA has already contributed INR 25,000. We are also reaching out to all of you to pitch in to help those in distress. We have designated a window of ten days from August 11-20 for this purpose. All contributions coming in during this period will be used exclusively for the benefit of the fisherfolk.
We would also like to inform you that we will be reaching out to all of you later on with regard to augmenting our LWI funds.
Do send in your contributions to the LWI( Loyola Welfare Initiative) account.
