3rd September 2018 witnessed the launch of ‘Spread A Smile’. An initiative aimed at creating an ecosystem where children from various orphanages and schools in the city, can come together and engage in activities that aid their individual growth and collective development.
Onam 2018 was celebrated at Loyola along with almost 40 students from two orphanages. Mr. Job Kurien who was accompanied by his family, initiated the event. The students received stationery and study materials along with other gifts that had been procured for them. They were also treated to a delightful sadhya and a lively game of football. The Loyola school ground saw active participation in the fun and frolic, from who all who were present.
As the eventful day came to an end by 4pm, it was, with a sense of satisfaction and a resilient promise to meet again.
The event would not have been possible without the dynamic support of LOBA. The LOBA President and Secretary had also joined and were active participants of the day’s events. Huge gratitude was duly extended to Mr. Ram Mohan, who has been lively supporting the idea and initiative since its inception.
There's nothing more rewarding than watching children smile from their heart and thus, a hearty welcome and invitation has been extended to LOBA member to join in on the experience.
